They, we, you, more than 1 person: WERE

Example :

1. (+) They were angry at that time.
     (-) They were not angry at that time.





Verb 1 : love
Verb 2 : loved
Verb 3 : loved

Example :

1. (+) I loved you.
    (-) i did not love you

2. (+) You were loved by me.
     (-) You were not loved by me.
